GiGroup is looking for a Legal Counsel for a multinational company. The main function will be to provide legal advice and assistance to the business and functions to support the strategic goals, ensuring compliance with relevant EU & national laws & regulations and internal policies.
The main responsibilities are the following:
– Manage a variety of legal caseloads & tasks, generally with minimum of supervision (except where subject otherwise requires), and which may include a variety of issues including contracts, marketing issues (including advertising & promotions), consumer rights, discounts & pricing policies, litigation/ dispute management, corporate compliance, data protection.
– Participate in legal working groups within the EMEA territory & assist on Iberian or EMEA issues as required from time to time.
– Specially, encourage and supervise the content and use of internal resources, as contractual models, legal content policies.
– Review and assess risk/legal implications of relevant company actions and activities, making recommendations as trusted advisor to align with the laws.
The minimum required skills and qualifications are: Degree in Spanish Law with appropriate postgraduate legal qualification.
Fluent in English at working level required
4-5 years of experience in providing legal advice to companies and/or in-house lawyer
